When it comes to weight loss after breast feeding, there is a lot to know. Does it really help you burn off body fat like they are all saying that it does. Well, according to some data from a study at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, they tested moms to see if breast feeding improved weight loss or not. According to their study, they didn’t see that it was beneficial to breast feed to help with weight loss.

However, based on many other moms, and other data out there, breast feeding is one of the best things you can do to help with weight loss. Although breast feeding is a very personal choice for each mother, there have been many reports of it being very helpful to the immune system of the young baby, and will be there to help their health continue to improve all throughout their lives.

If you are no longer breast feeding your infant and are looking for weight loss after breast feeding, there are many great ways to do so.

Drinking plenty of water during the day will actually help you with weight loss after breast feeding, and you can lose a lot of weight in just a few months time. You need to drink plain, filtered, healthy water. This is not the same thing as drinking a dozen cans of Pepsi each day, or apple juice. You need plain, clear, water. Water is what your body needs in every cell of your body.

When you eat a lot during the day, it may be your body’s way of trying to get you to drink some water because it is so thirsty. Your body is craving water. You need to drink about 10 glasses of plain water each day, and the other great thing is that it will fill up your stomach so you won’t be that hungry. This will make weight loss after pregnancy that much easier.

Another thing you want to do is eat enough calories throughout the day. You definitely don’t want to go on any “fasting” type of diets, as that will do the opposite of what you are trying to do. Your body will think it’s starving and will hold on to as much fat as possible, making weight loss after breast feeding very hard to do. If you eat about 1200 calories or even slightly more, it will let your body know you are not starving, and so it will start to let go of the fat off your body.

Getting plenty of restful sleep will help your body to do what it needs to do to replenish it’s energy, burn off excess calories it does not need, and digest your food properly. Your body needs rest to work at it’s most optimum state. So be sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep each night,.

If that seems too impossible for you, start taking little naps throughout the day, or drink a warm cup of milk with a little honey in it right before heading off to slumber land. It will help lull you right to sleep, and make weight loss after breast feeding so much easier.
